Westport Café and Bar celebrates Blue October with a new, game-changing menu; Adds 2 TVs throughout café on game days for postseason baseball

The game-day menu features former food truck favorites and new stadium street fare creations, specialty cocktails, 5 wines by the glass and 25-ounce stadium beers; Available during Royals’ playoff games only

KANSAS CITY, MO. (Sept. 29, 2015) – Fall’s classic is upon us! As the Kansas City Royals clinch the American League Central Division and advance to another MLB postseason, Westport Café and Bar is celebrating by introducing a game-changing new menu and evolving its space to offer guests a Blue October experience unlike any other.

The French-inspired café is putting its signature spin on refined bar food, launching a game-day menu that combines fan favorites from Westport Café’s former food truck, Westport Street Fare, with new dishes created by chef owners Aaron Confessori and Richard Wiles. Highlighting both international and local flavors, the game-day menu features approachable yet unique dishes that are sure to score a home run with guests.

Westport Café is adding two, large-screen TVs to modernize its causal bistro setting for game days, further enhancing the fan experience to ensure guests don’t miss a minute of playoff action. Additionally, fans can reserve the back portion of Westport Café for dedicated Royals’ watch parties throughout the MLB postseason. The large space will include its own TV.

Westport Café is also introducing a lineup of hard-hitting cocktails, game-day wines and stadium beers, bringing the game-day experience full circle. Developed by longtime bartender Bronson Kistler, the four cocktails include a Moscow Mule and “Sluggerrr-ade,” a unique spin on lemonade using local ingredients like Rieger's Kansas City Whiskey and BLVD Bob's '47.

The game-day menu, specialty cocktails, wine and beer selection will be available throughout the entire restaurant during Royals’ playoff games only, starting with the first postseason game, Thursday, Oct. 8. All regular Westport Café and Bar menus will be available in addition to the game-day menus.
