Upcoming courses at Sit Means Sit Dog Training

(Casper, Wyo.) - Do you have a dog that continues to jump, bite, run rampant or any other bad habits? The gang of experienced handlers at Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Casper has three upcoming dog training courses to help with those manners!

PUPPY PRESCHOOL (6-week course, Saturdays @ 2pm): Starts Jan. 30th @1pm
  • A Positive Leash and Treat Group Training Class for puppies ages 10 weeks to 4 1/2 months.
  • Will teach you the principles of raising a well-mannered, confident, and socially outgoing
  • puppy.
  • Topics include: house/potty training, how to stop play biting, controlling chewing before it gets destructive, social interaction and behavior, learning name, and laying the foundation for good manners and obedience with commands like "Sit", "Stay", "Come", and walking with a loose leash.
  • Cost is $249 for the entire 6 weeks
BASIC MANNERS (6-week course, Saturdays @ 1pm): Starts Jan. 30th
  • A Reward and Motivational Based Group Training Class for dogs ages 4 1/2 months and older.
  • Will teach you the principles of raising a happy, obedient, social member of the family.
  • Topics include: Classical Conditioning and Operate Conditioning, the concept of reward based training, potty training, while also focusing on Basic Commands, such as "Sit", "Stay", and "Come", as well as "Heel", "Place", and "Leash Recall".
  • Cost is $249 for the entire 6 weeks
**Both of these classes are all:
  • on leash (dogs will be on a leash at all times)
  • small class sizes to ensure personal attention
  • no aggressive dogs for group classes - call us and talk to us about what we can do for you if you think your dog may be people/dog aggressive
  • The first day of class on January 30th is seminar style so that we can explain the program, everyone can meet the trainers, fill out all their paperwork, and ask any questions they may have. You wouldn't bring your dog to the seminar but you would to every training class after that.
AGILITY CLASS (6-week course, Wednesdays from 2pm-5pm: Starts Feb. 3rd
  • Agility is a team sport where the handler directs their dog over an obstacle course which includes jumps, tunnels, teeter and other equipment. The obstacles must be performed correctly and the course completed in a certain order within a time limit.
  • Agility will be taught by Denise Durrant, she has 10+ years experience training her own dogs to compete and recently shared her knowledge by teaching agility as co-owner of Pawstively Trained.
  • Dogs must be non aggressive and have basic obedience.
  • Signup by January 31st
  • Exclusively small class sizes
  • Cost is $149 for entire 6-week course
