Real Western Rodeo Action All Summer Long in Fremont County, WY.

Fremont County, WY - Wyoming's western tradition still flourishes in Wyoming’s Wind River Country, an easy half-day's drive from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Almost every week there's a special event that brings old western movies back to life including wild-west rodeos every week throughout the summer.

For those interested in cowboy-flavored events, enjoy the Friday night rodeos in Dubois, the Fremont County Fair Rodeo and the Lander Pioneer Days 4th of July Rodeo. For a change of pace, try the unique Ultimate Miniature Bullriding, Fremont County Youth Rodeos, the Rocky Mountain Indian Rodeos, and the much anticipated 55th Annual Eastern Shoshone All-Indian Rodeo.

Kids will love the Dubois Friday night rodeo series at the Clarence Allison Memorial Arena. Every Friday evening in mid-June, July, and mid-August you can see the excitement of Bullriding, Bronc riding on bucking horses, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, and more starting at 8 p.m.

The Pioneer Days Rodeo takes place July 3rd and 4th in Lander. This is the oldest paid rodeo in the world! Events start at 6:30 p.m. nightly and include bull riding, calf roping, bucking broncos, barrel racing, freestyle bullfighting, and the Indian Relay where teams of Native Americans compete in riding bareback around the arena.

Experience Ultimate Miniature Bullriding each month in Fremont County, geared to young buckaroos under age 15. Watch the always-entertaining Mutton Busting (kids riding sheep), Pee-Wee Bullriding, and Mini Bullriding.

Multiple rodeos are planned for a week in July in Riverton during the Fremont County Fair. It includes a Little Pokes Rodeo, Hog Wrestling, and a Rancher's Rodeo.
