DETROIT – To paraphrase Eminem, “Everybody in the 313, cut out of work early and drink with me.” On Friday, March 13 (3.13), Labatt is calling all Detroiters, 21+, to duck out of work at 3:13 p.m for a city-wide happy hour. The event is being spearheaded by the Labatt Bear, a Canadian bear living in America and Labatt’s #1 fan. The Labatt Bear wants to celebrate the city with Detroiters and thank them for making Labatt Blue the No. 1 Canadian import beer in the market.
“It’s Friday the 13th, it’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend and most importantly, it’s the one day of the year that celebrates Detroit’s area code so we’re giving people a reason to get out and celebrate,” said Janine Schoos, brand manager for Labatt. “Let’s just say our fans and social followers can probably expect to get a few tips on how to duck out of work early from the Labatt Bear. Just don’t tell your boss.”
