Back by popular demand, 3 winter cocktails from previous years also join the 5 new additions
Kansas City, Mo. (Dec. 19, 2014) – In the midst of winter, Westport Café & Bar introduces a winter cocktail menu featuring five new classic and house specialty creations joined by three favorites from previous years. Created by longtime lead bartender Bronson Kistler, the five new winter cocktails utilize fresh ingredients combined with seasonal herbs and spices, as well as interesting craft spirits and house-made liqueurs.
The seasonal cocktail menu is now available through the winter season as follows:
New Classic Cocktails
Hot Buttered Rum – Gosling’s dark rum, Angostura 5-year rum, spiced vanilla butter, hot cider
Embury French 75 – Camus Cognac, lemon, sugar, sparkling wine
(Classic Cocktails remaining on the menu include: Bee’s Knees, Old Fashioned, Suffering Bastard, Champagne Cocktail and Pimm’s Cup)
New House Specialty Cocktails
Penrose – Maison Rouge Cognac, pear brandy, hibiscus, brown sugar, lemon, egg white
Bandolier – Cedar-infused Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Campari, Dolin Rouge
Amelia– Tito’s Vodka, Oloroso Sherry, Falernum, lime, strawberries
House Specialty Cocktails Back By Popular Demand
Little Red Rooster – Plymouth Gin, Aperol, cinnamon, grapefruit, lemon, bitters
Meredian – Bulleit Bourbon, chai-infused Carpano Antica, lemon, blueberries
Winter Smash – Four Roses Bourbon, lemon, cinnamon, peach, mint

The Parisian-inspired bistro opens daily at 4 p.m., serving craft cocktails and a full bar with a craft beer and wine selection until 1:30 a.m. (midnight, Sunday). A daily happy hour food menu with $5 select glasses of wine and $3 beers is offered from 4 – 6 p.m. with late night starting at 10 p.m. The full dinner menu is served starting at 4 p.m. daily until 1 a.m. (11:30 p.m., Sunday). Additionally, Westport Café & Bar offers brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
