Travel freely: Central Bank & Trust unblocks states and creates a new fraud prevention program

Central Bank & Trust is expected to launch EMV chipped cards in August of 2016. Until then, they are striving to keep your accounts as secure as possible. Customers can now travel freely, as all states are unblocked.
When in a state outside of Wyoming and swiping your card in an in-person transaction (examples: gift shop, grocery store, gas station, airports, etc.) you must run the transaction as debit and your PIN will be required. (See the list at the bottom for your local branches' contact info if you need your PIN number)
  • This does not affect transactions in Wyoming, only when traveling outside of Wyoming.
  • Any transactions at restaurants will not be affected, this includes fast food restaurants.
  • Internet-based transactions, recurring payments, and telephone transactions will not be affected.
This measure has been put into place as debit cards can be falsely manufactured, however your PIN prevents unauthorized use of your accounts.
