Notes: NASCAR Xfinity Series teams have run this left-side tire code (D-4392) at Chicagoland since 2011 . . . these teams have also run this left-side at both Texas and Dover earlier this season . . . while Xfinity teams have run this particular right-side tire code (D-4618) at Texas since April 2012, this is the first time they have run it at Chicagoland . . . this right-side tire employs Goodyear's multi-zone tread technology, which combines two distinct tread compounds on the same tire -- the outboard 10 inches of the tread features a compound that is designed for grip, while the inboard two inches of the tread is toughened to enhance durability on the part of the tire sees the most heat and takes the most abuse . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Chicagoland . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Notes: While NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams have run this left-side tire code (D-4546) at Iowa since 2012, this is the first time running this right-side code (D-4648) . . . compared to what was run at Iowa last season, this right-side features a slight construction change and minor increase in tread gage (thickness) . . . this is also the same tire set-up that NASCAR Xfinity Series teams ran at Iowa this past May . . . as on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Iowa.
