How much Wing game have you got? SabrosoSauce.com in association with Miami's celebrity Chef DP, is kicking off a Wings & Sauce Battle 13 City Tour.
Wing eaters from adults to kids will battle it out for 5 rounds to earn bragging rights as SabrosoSauce King or Queen of Wings and a cash prize.
Wings & Sauce Battle 13 City Tour will begin in Miami's Wynwood arts district January 18th from 1pm to 5pm at Scratch DJ Academy on 450 NW 28th Street. Miami's Celebrity Roadside Chef DP will host the event, with co-host DJ T Time spinning on the ones and twos. There will also be live musical performances. Lana's Kitchen at 2395 nw 119 Street in Miami, is donating the wings for the Miami kickoff event.
"This will be the battle of all wing battles said Chef DP. We're taking this to 13 cities, 11 in Florida and two in New York. When it's all said and done we will know who in Miami can eat the most chicken wings within 3 minutes. It should be easy, since they will be smothered in our delicious SabrosoSauce Dip," he chuckled.
The winner in both categories adult and kids will take home a cash prize; $250 for the adult winner; $50 for the winner of the kids battle.
"This event will also provide a valuable networking opportunity for any aspiring DJs to learn more about Scratch DJ Academy and register for classes," said Chef DP.
Wings & Sauce Battle 13 City Tour is free and open to the public.
About Chef DP
Chef DP aka Darryl R. Johnson Sr. was born and raised in Liberty City, Florida. His love for food and entrepreneurial spirit were discovered early as a child when he sold home made butter cookies at events throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. At age 15, Darryl opened his first business; a car wash; where he would work everyday after school. Following his graduation from Miami Northwestern High School, at the age of 18, Darryl went on to open a conch stand outside Flea Market USA and by the age of 20 he opened Darryl's Conch House Restaurant. His seafood restaurant became well-known and achieved great success.
Some years later Darryl encountered some serious personal issues and lost it all, but he got back on track and eventually enrolled in college and later started selling food again. He also became philanthropic and started Chef DP Charities Foundation with a commitment to give back and assist with a variety of community and social causes. Darryl is now a recognized food expert, entrepreneur and nicknamed by the Miami Herald as the "Roadside Chef," because of his passion for cooking outside at his Conch Fritters stand across from NorthShore Medical Center, where he cooks up what has been described as the tastiest conch fritters and salad in the nation.
In 2011, Chef DP also established Sabroso Sauce,™ a delicious blend of high-quality sauces and seasonings, hand created with fresh and natural ingredients. Now a global company, Sabroso focuses on providing quality products for cooking, with a value on the health benefits associated with fresh food.
