LEAWOOD, Kan. (September 5, 2014) – Tavern at Mission Farms has created a special three course menu featuring unique dishes with a farm-to-table focus, created using fresh fare from local farms, butchers, bakers and partners. This one-night-only second anniversary dinner is offered for $20.12 with limited reservations to celebrate another year in a unique way! The $20.12 special prix fixe is recognition of the first day Tavern at Mission Farms opened on Sept. 12, 2012.
The celebration will carry on late night in the bar with music, entertainment and dancing starting at 8pm, along with the late night happy hour menu of $6 appetizers, including chicken nachos, steak sliders, pulled pork tacos and calamari. The Tavern bar team will create and serve the signature craft cocktails, along with the new Slender cocktails that recently debuted.
Amuse-Bouche: A carmelized onion and gypsy pepper tart with local honey and sheep's milk cheese
First Course: Heirloom Caprese Salad, a caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes, house-made mozzarella, fresh basil and balsamic reduction. Topped with a Parmesan ciabatta crisp.
Main Course: Braised Beef Shortrib, braised beef shortrib with horseradish potatoes, whipped butternut squash, sauteed mushrooms and a pancetta demi-glace.
Dessert: Pear clafoutis with sour cream ice cream and caramel
