Actor BRYANT BOON Depicts Transformative TV History on FX’s Hit Limited Series ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story’

EPISODE SET TO AIR ON MARCH 8, 2016

LOS ANGELES (February 25, 2016) – Actor BRYANT BOON joins the all-star cast in FX’s popular true-crime anthology series, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, airing on March 8th.

From executive producer and director Ryan Murphy, The People v. O.J. Simpson takes an inside look at the double homicide murder trial and legal teams battling to convict or acquit football legend O.J. Simpson. Boon steps into the behind-the-scenes dealings as the ‘NBC President’ charged with making critical decisions with far-reaching media impact.

Boon joins an all-star cast including John Travolta, Cuba Gooding Jr., Sarah Paulson and David Schwimmer for this limited series based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson, which was adapted for the screen by Golden Globe winning screenwriting duo Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.

Boon was excited by the opportunity to work with Ryan Murphy, who directed the episode, adding “The level of professionalism and efficiency in executing the scenes slated for the day was bar none. It’s no wonder Ryan Murphy is one of the hottest and most respected TV creator/director/producers working in show business today.”

Up next, Boon stars in a supporting role alongside Zander Berkeley (24, Person of Interest) in the dramatic feature film, Rene. Boon is also slated to appear in several upcoming projects, including the indie feature films Exit Zero, about a recently returning military veteran, and the rock-n-roll drama, Soul To Soul. In addition, he will star in leading roles of two upcoming indie TV pilots; as FBI Agent Markham in the action-drama Operator and as Detective Pierce in the crime-thriller Mrs. Walker, set for a 3-part online release in Summer 2016.

Boon first found success in the acting arena on stage, playing Dracula in ‘Bram Stoker's Dracula’ and Elvis in Steve Martin's ‘Picasso at the Lapin Agile’ for which he won a Crystal Award for Best New Actor. After several years of acting in New York, Boon made his way to Los Angeles and focused on film and television work, quickly establishing a solid reputation on the indie film scene.

Born in The Netherlands and raised in Grain Valley, Missouri, Boon served over 11 years as a U.S. Navy pilot and another 13 years as an airline pilot for JetBlue Airways before pursuing acting full-time.

Bryant Boon is represented by Abstract Talent Agency.
