CALGARY, ALBERTA, August 22, 2014 – Bellstar Hotels & Resorts was recently ranked 46 amongst Canada’s top 50 hotel companies in Hotelier magazine’s July/August 2014 issue. The list was based on 2013 gross revenue compared to the previous year. In 2012, Bellstar ranked number 48 and gross revenues in 2013 grew by over 35 percent according to the annual “Top 50” rankings.
“We continue to experience growth primarily through the increasing number of guests at our resorts,” said Patti Smith, Chief Operating Officer for Bellstar Hotels & Resorts. “We are looking to expand by adding more great resorts over the next few years. We also plan to be improving the overall quality of our family of resorts by exiting those properties that don’t meet our standards.”
In 2013, Bellstar added The Beach Club Resort. As a major resort in Parksville, B.C., this addition had a major impact on growing Bellstar’s revenues along with better than average growth in sales at other Bellstar managed properties.
From inception, Bellstar has been committed to showcasing the unique experience of each resort and destination. Bellstar believes helping guests escape urbanity and discover authentic, local experiences are the essence of a memorable stay. This speaks directly to Bellstar’s passion for sharing exceptional resort experiences. Whether it’s learning about winemaking in Osoyoos, spotting a bald eagle while walking along Parksville Beach, or hiking Canmore’s famous Grassi Lakes Trail, each of Bellstar’s resorts offer their own original adventure and unique personality.
Bellstar Hotels & Resorts will continue to offer additional resorts and experiences to guests in its current and upcoming destinations in B.C. and Alberta. By seeking out those unique properties that fit Bellstar’s brand, the company looks to expand its offering to guests looking for more to see, do, and experience in their vacations, meetings, conferences, group events and family gatherings.
