Tickets are available for the final performances for “Legally Blonde: The Musical” at the Gertrude Krampert Center for Theatre and Dance July 13-16 at 7:30 p.m. and 17 at 2 p.m.
Directed by Gretchen Wheeler and starring Faith Conaway as fun-loving sorority girl Elle Woods and Andrew Reichert as Elle’s fickle boyfriend Warner Huntington III, the play follows Elle as she pursues Warner to Harvard Law School.
“Jam-packed with hilarious musical songs, dynamic dancing and special surprises, ‘Legally Blonde’ promises a delightfully entertaining experience for both men and women,” says Wheeler.
Based on both the novel “Legally Blonde” and the 2001 blockbuster movie of the same name starring Reese Witherspoon, the play itself is one of the few to make a successful transition from the screen to the stage, earning seven Tony Award nominations including two best actress nods, one best actor, and best original score. The musical also garnered five Laurence Olivier Awards winning best new musical, best actress, and best performance in a supporting role.
