The OUTSIDE ADVENTURE FILM SCHOOL is teaming up with GoPro Mountain Games June 4th – 11th to give aspiring adventure filmmakers a jump on their dreams. The film school’s professional instructors will lead school participants through the process of shooting and editing their own films throughout the games, debuting their films on the big screen at a public film screening at end of the week. With all-access media passes, the students will directly connect with all the action for amazing footage of this huge sports, music, and arts festival.
Athletes from around the world will converge in Vail to throw down in 25 different sports in the surrounding mountains and rivers for over $110,000 in prize money, making the GoPro Mountain Games come alive with storytelling and filmmaking opportunities. From kayaking to mountain biking to fly fishing, the games will be action packed. And with more than 3,000 participating athletes and an estimated 53,000 spectators, there will be plenty of characters, too. The OUTSIDE ADVENTUTRE FILM SCHOOL instructors will help participants weave their adventure sport footage with compelling storytelling to produce a meaningful film.
