Celebrate the Holiday Season with Seasonal Menus Prepared by South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa

LAS VEGAS – Guests can get in the holiday spirit at South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa on Christmas Day with specialty menus offered at the property’s most popular restaurants including Baja Miguel’s, Coronado Café, Don Vito’s, Garden Buffet, Primarily Prime Rib and Silverado Steakhouse.

Baja Miguel’s will serve a three-course menu and a complimentary house margarita for $16.95 per person from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., including:

·         First Course: Cream of Chicken and Corn soup; or Dinner salad.

·         Second Course: Traditional Roast Turkey Platter with mashed potatoes topped with gravy, glazed yams, seasonal vegetables and cranberry sauce; or Carne Asada Baja Miguel’s featuring a marinated skirt steak broiled and topped with chipotle mushrooms and butter sauce served with chilaquiles and tri-color beans.

·         Third Course: Chocolate Yule Log with peppermint ice cream; or Warm Mince Pie with whipped cream.

 

Coronado Café will serve a three-course menu and a complimentary glass of wine for $14.95 per person from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., including:

·         First Course: Cream of Chicken and Corn Soup; or Dinner Salad.

·         Second Course: Traditional Roast Turkey Platter with mashed potatoes topped with gravy, glazed yams, fresh seasonal vegetables and cranberry sauce.

·         Third Course: Chocolate Yule Log with peppermint ice cream; or Warm Mince Pie with whipped cream.

Don Vito’s will serve a three-course menu and the choice of a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail for $32 per person from 4 to 9 p.m., including:

·         First Course: Italian Chicken Soup with parmesan dumplings; Classical Caesar Salad; or Butter Lettuce and Teardrop Tomato Salad with tomato and caper vinaigrette.

·         Second Course: Roast Turkey served with apple sage dressing, green beans or Brussels sprouts, roasted chestnuts, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes topped with gravy, glazed yams, and a side of cranberry sauce; Osso Bucco veal shank slowly simmered with garden vegetables, herbs and red wine served with polenta; or Grilled Pacific Salmon Angelo over farfalle pasta with artichokes, mushrooms and black olives in a white wine cream.

·         Third Course: Chocolate Yule Log with peppermint ice cream; or Eggnog Cream Cannoli.

Primarily Prime Rib will serve a three-course menu with the choice of a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail for $29 from 4 to 10 p.m., including:

·         First Course: Cream of Chicken and Corn Bisque; or Tossed Winter Salad.

·         Second Course: Roast Turkey Dinner served with sage dressing, glazed yams, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and cranberry sauce; “South Point Cut” Prime Rib; Filet Medallions of Beef with mushroom and merlot reduction; Highland Chicken over caramelized leeks, potatoes and mushrooms with a whiskey butter sauce; Tilapia Rockefeller over pernod flavored creamed spinach sauce with poached oysters; or Pork Osso Bucco simmered in red wine with herbs and garden vegetables. All entrees are served with the choice of roasted Chateau, baked or Yukon gold mashed potatoes or green beans.

·         Third Course: Chocolate Yule Log with peppermint ice cream; Warm Apple Brown Betty with whipped cream; or Cheesecake with seasonal berries.

Silverado Steakhouse will serve a four-course menu with the choice of a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail for $45 from 5 to 10 p.m., including:

·         First Course:  Seafood Provencal lightly sautéed in fresh tomatoes and garlic; or Chicken Oscar Crostini with crab, asparagus and béarnaise sauce.

·         Second Course: Lobster Bisque; Field Green Salad with champagne vinaigrette; or Avocado and Grapefruit Salad with raspberry vinaigrette.

·         Third Course: Roast Turkey with apple sage dressing, green beans or Brussels sprouts, roasted chestnuts, Yukon gold mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed yams and cranberry sauce; Poached Pacific Salmon in a white wine broth with cucumbers, tomatoes and chive butter sauce; or Cider Braised Pork Chop with cipollini onions, cider baked apple with crème fraiche finished with cider jus.

·         Fourth Course: Chocolate Yule Log with peppermint ice cream; or English Plum Pudding with brandy sauce.

In addition, the Garden Buffet will feature a special Christmas Day Buffet for $16.95 with a Club Card or $19.95 without a Club Card from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests will enjoy a selection of traditional holiday soups and freshly tossed salad options.  The holiday buffet offers an assortment of a la carte options including Bourbon Glazed Sliced Ham with peaches, Chinese Lemon Chicken, Barbecued Pork Back Ribs, Chicken and Leek Fricasse and more. Adding to the experience, the buffet will feature a traditional roasted turkey and roasted prime rib carving station. Guests can satisfy that sweet tooth while enjoying desserts such as the Gelato, Hot Peach and Cranberry Bread Pudding, Eggnog Cupcakes and more.

Regular menus will be available at Baja Miguel’s, Coronado Café, Don Vito’s, and Silverado Steakhouse. The Coronado Café will also offer its daily Chinese menu.
