Ghost Walk in Glenwood Springs Highlights Haunted Cemetery

October is all about spooky fun, and nothing beats the old bone yard where Doc Holliday is buried for a ghostly good time. For three weekends during the month of Halloween, the Frontier Historical Society brings the ghosts of Glenwood Springs’ past to life in the town’s oldest cemetery.

On the evening of your visit be prepared to encounter apparitions of gunmen, gamblers, fancy ladies and pioneer settlers long since deceased. Along with Doc Holliday, the outlaw Kid Curry likes to make an appearance. Hear their version of events along with the stories of other long-departed residents of Glenwood Springs.

While spiritedly supernatural, the
Historic Ghost Walk is a family friendly event that’s especially appropriate for school-aged children. “Ghosts” are portrayed by actors who bring a magical quality to each performance while imparting historical anecdotes about what it was like to live in Glenwood Springs in the late 1880s to early 1900s.
