Revamped menu includes seven dishes appearing for the first time
KANSAS CITY, MO. (Nov. 26, 2014) – As fall transitions into winter, Zócalo Mexican Cuisine & Tequileria introduces a heartier seasonal menu, full of comforting entrées to accompany the cooler weather. The five new entrées were developed by the Zócalo team, under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Drue Kennedy. The new menu launched on Nov. 19, and will be available through the spring season.
New menu options are as follows:
Albondigas – chorizo meatballs, chili-pork broth, grilled bread, queso fresco
Red Chile Prawns – spaghetti squash, zucchini, jalapenos, brown butter, toasted almond citrus sauce
Chile-Rubbed Duck Breast – Brussels sprouts, acorn squash, mole verde, dried cranberries and pepitas
Chorizo Meatloaf – chipotle mashed potatoes, swiss chard, poblano cream sauce
Coffee Crusted Beef Tenderloin (Filet) – poblano-potato gratin, swiss chard, chile butter
Grilled Pork Porterhouse – chili rub, Brussels sprouts, pepper jack mac-n-cheese, toasted bread crumbs, Oaxacan BBQ sauce
Shrimp – chipotle and orange glazed shrimp, napa cabbage, crema, roasted corn relish, jalapeno
Additionally, Tuesday at the Tequileria will continue with half-priced tacos and tequila every Tuesday, as well as happy hour food and drink specials, Monday – Friday from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. For more information on the new menu at Zócalo, please visit www.zocalokc.com.
