June 22, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta – Wild Rose Triathlon (WRT) founders Tri It Multisport are pleased to name global custom apparel maker Champion System as the event’s presenting partner. The inaugural event is slated for Sunday, June 26, 2016 and raises funds for Calgary’s YWCA Sheriff King Home, an emergency shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence.
“As event producers we were looking for a way to use our joint passion to meaningfully give back to our community,” offers Tri It co-owner Richelle Love, “As mothers we’re profoundly affected by the impact domestic violence has across our region. Co-opting the mission of the Sheriff King Home was a natural way to place our collective strengths in harness to benefit families struggling to escape lives unfairly punctuated with violence and abuse.”
“There’s sponsorship and then there’s giving back; the best partnerships incorporate elements of both and our support of the Wild Rose Triathlon is a shining example,” states Champion System co-founder Scott Kaylin, “We couldn’t be more pleased to be involved with an event that strives to make such a huge difference in the lives of its beneficiaries and we’re committed to help it grow.”
As presenting sponsor of the event Champion System provides identification wristbands to all competitors. The company has also assisted in the design and production of custom jerseys, tank tops, sports bras and the Wild Rose Triathlon Skirt to help commemorate the event for participants.
