(Las Vegas) – Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas today announced the Fun in the Sun for The Shade Tree Drive, an effort which will allow guests who bring a package of new socks in children or adult sizes or a case of bottled water to the park on Sept. 19 to purchase tickets for only $19.99. All items collected will be donated to The Shade Tree, and help women and children living at the shelter.

“This is a unique opportunity for our guests to do something good and be rewarded for it. That doesn’t happen a lot in life, but this is something that we’re passionate about,” said Takuya Ohki, general manager of Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas.  “We love our guests. We love our community. We are thrilled to be able to offer guests discounted admission to our park while impacting lives for the better.”

“We are incredibly thankful to have motivated and compassionate community partners like Wet n’ Wild,” said Marlene Richter, Executive Director of The Shade Tree. “We could not help so many women and children without the generosity of the people of the Las Vegas community.”

Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas is Nevada’s premier water park with more than 25 slides and attractions covering more than 20 acres, and a place for both thrill seekers and families.  As Las Vegas’ Summer Playground, the park features the Tornado, a premier slide that catapults riders to a zero gravity experience; Rattler, the first slide of its kind in North America; and Constrictor, an extreme water slide featuring some of the tightest turns. Families and those desiring a more relaxing experience can enjoy Paradise Falls, the interactive children’s area with kid friendly slides and a giant dumping bucket; Colorado Cooler lazy river; and Red Rock Bay wave pool. During its third season, one of the park’s most popular slides, Zipp Zapp Zoom, features a new and exciting addition, Slideboarding, the world’s first waterslide gaming experience. Slideboarding integrates gaming, skill, and competitive sports with the thrills of a water park. The property is a partnership between Village Roadshow Theme Parks, the majority owner and overseer of day-to-day operations, and Las Vegas investors through SPB Partners, one of Nevada’s first private equity funds.
