Aspen Snowmass Announces Free Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series Line-Up

ASPEN SNOWMASS, Colo.—Jan. 12, 2015—Aspen Snowmass announces the remaining concert line-up for the free Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series scheduled throughout the rest of the 2014/15 ski and ride season. This is the 12th consecutive season Aspen Snowmass has presented a season-long series of free concerts in partnership with Bud Light. The 2014/15 season kicked-off in November with a performance by Reel Big Fish. Each show features a Bud Light beer garden and sponsor giveaways.

SBCR DJ Set (The Bloody Beetroots)

Gondola Plaza, Aspen Mountain

Hitting the stage at 5:30 p.m. during X Games Aspen, Italian dance-punk group The Bloody Beetroots features the musical work of Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, otherwise known as SBCR. Formed back in 2006, SBCR is a classically trained musician, primarily identified for his production skills in the electro-house and dance-punk genres and work with the keyboard and guitar. The Bloody Beetroots project gained global recognition with tracks like “Warp,” “Rocksteady,” “Chronicles of a Fallen Love,” “Church of Noise” and “Spank.” 

Cracker

Gondola Plaza, Aspen Mountain

Taking place Presidents Weekend, Cracker will go live at 6 p.m. in Gondola Plaza. Cracker has been described as a lot of things over the years—alternative-rock, Americana, insurgent-country and even explained with the terms punk and classic-rock, but more than anything they are survivors. Cofounders Lowery and Hickman have been at it for almost a quarter of a century amassing ten studio albums, multiple gold records, thousands of live performances, hit songs that still play on the radio around the globe and a worldwide fan base,  that despite the major sea of changes within the music industry, continues to grow each year. 

Umphrey’s McGee

Downtown Aspen

Part of the highly-anticipated CORE party taking place on the corner of Galena St. and Cooper Ave., the free block-party will feature Bud Light beer gardens as well as DJ Naka G hitting the stage at 6:30 p.m. followed by the main act Umphrey’s McGee. The concert is part of the larger 15th annual Bud Light Spring Jam, a premier spring ski and snowboard festival in the Rocky Mountains.

Umphrey's McGee is an amalgam of progressive rock and jam band that hails from South Bend, Ind. They have been making music for 16 years which has resulted in 100 concerts annually, the release of seven studio albums and the sale of more than 3.3 million tracks online. Umphrey’s McGee will also perform two sold-out shows at Belly Up Aspen Mar. 12-13.

Dirty Dozen Brass Band

Snowmass Base Village

Taking place the second weekend of the Bud Light Spring Jam, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band will perform live at 4:30 p.m. in the Snowmass Base Village. Thirty-five years after forming, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band has become a world famous music machine whose name is synonymous with genre-bending romps and high-octane performances. They have revitalized the ‘brass band’ in New Orleans and around the world progressing from local parties, clubs, baseball games and festivals to touring continuously across the U.S. and across five continents in over 30 countries world-wide. Matthew Moon will open the show at 3 p.m.

Iration

Snowmass Base Village

Rounding out the final weekend of the Bud Light Spring Jam, Iration will perform at 4 p.m. in Snowmass. Iration is an alternative reggae group who met while growing up in Hawaii, but officially formed the band after reconnecting in Santa Barbara, Calif. The band’s 2010 release “Time Bomb” hit #1 on the iTunes Reggae Album Chart and has enjoyed a very successful run on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart to date as well. The band's EP releases include “New Roots” (2006), “Sample This EP” (2008) and “Fresh Grounds” (2011).  The group has been touring nationally since 2007, performing at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Wakarusa, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival and Sunset Strip Music Festival. Iration has headlined several successful national club tours with numerous sold out shows nationwide. Matthew Moon will open the show at 3 p.m.
