3 Things To Do In Glenwood Springs after the Slopes Close

You can ski and snowboard all day, every day at Sunlight Mountain Resort until 4 p.m., but the fun doesn’t stop when the lifts quit running. On the contrary, get ready for the second shift of family-friendly après-ski activities you can only do in Glenwood Springs, Colorado!

1. Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park’s new Winter on the Mountain is all about celebrating the wonder of winter with more than a half million twinkling lights, fire pits to roast s’mores, a warming hut, lighted thrill rides and cave tours. During the holidays a giant lighted Christmas tree and visits from Santa add to the festive ambiance. To make an evening of it, bring your appetite and enjoy family-style dining at the Lookout Grille. Winter on the Mountain is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday – Sunday, with extended dates through the holidays.

2. Glenwood Vaudeville Revue is a comedy show that’s refreshingly appropriate for audiences of all ages. Enjoy dinner and drinks before the show then get ready for hilarious skits that incorporate slapstick, gags, novelty song and dance numbers, a barbershop ensemble and more. The holiday show runs through Jan. 3, with additional shows between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Thurs. – Sat, 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.

3. The Glenwood Hot Springs Pool is open daily until 10 p.m. and on New Year’s Eve until 1 a.m. What better way to après-ski than to soak sore muscles in the healing mineral hot springs water? Unwind in the Therapy Pool, with its submerged steps and bubble chairs, or make a splash with the kids in the Big Pool.

By day’s end, everyone will be ready for some shut eye at cozy lodging in Glenwood Springs. Find out more about what to do and where to stay this winter in Glenwood Springs at www.visitglenwood.com.
