Making Your Business as Attractive as Possible

I often get asked ‘What is the best way to attract new customers?’

My answer is always the same – there’s not one magic solution, you need to try a combination of methods, but make sure that you keep on communicating clearly with your prospects.

Remember that the more visitors that come to your website, the better the chance of converting these casual visitors into signed-up committed customers.

But if you aren’t getting as much traffic to your website as you’d like, you need to re-think your current strategy and ask yourself some searching questions.

For example, are you doing enough to arouse curiosity using the web and social media?  Make sure that you are making the most of Twitter and LinkedIn to carefully target specific groups and audiences. Use Google AdWords and other Pay per Click advertising to capture potential prospects through attractive and relevant adverts.

Don’t forget your blog. It’s been proven that blogs are a great way of getting your message out there to prospective clients.  Use your blog to impart information about you and your business, and build up a loyal following.  Be somebody that people want to hear from, whose opinion they respect.  Make sure you add to it regularly, and that it always contains compelling, relevant content.

Also ask does your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) work effectively?  You want your name to be at the top of the list of options your prospective clients see.

Is your Pay Per Click campaign too restrictive?  Do you even have one?  It’s a really cost-effective way of advertising online and capturing people looking. It can be measured easily by ratio of clicks to conversions.

Could you be using Twitter and LinkedIn more effectively to create wider interest?

Twitter is a great way to gain new followers.  Send out regular Tweets to share information, news, promote your services and your company.

Did you know that Twitter now also offers paid-for advertising through promoted Tweets and promoted accounts?  You decide who to target and only get charged for these when people click on your Tweets or start following you through a promoted Tweet.

With LinkedIn set up your company page and start sharing updates through your personal profile and company page.  You can also have sponsored updates which you pay for – this places your updates in front of your target audience and you only pay for those who click.
