LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas National Horse Show, presented by Blenheim EquiSports, returns to the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center Tuesday, Nov. 10 through Sunday, Nov. 15,with the action-packed Grand Prix event on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a colorful Parade of Nations, introducing fans to some of the top national and international show jumpers in the world. After, the audience will enjoy pre-show entertainment by the innovative and exciting Playing by Air. Spectators will witness gorgeous horses jumping giant obstacles in the $100,000 Longines FEI World Cup™ Las Vegas as riders compete for the fastest time. After the competition, fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite riders, Olympians and more during a special autograph signing in the foyer.
“With the 2015 FEI Longines World Cup Finals in Vegas last April, we are pleased to bring world-class show jumping to the South Point Arena this November,” said Robert Ridland, Blenheim EquiSports president, who has played a major role in bringing show jumping to Las Vegas.
Guests will have the opportunity to witness a group of the world’s best show jumping competitors as they battle for an invitation to the prestigious Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Finals in Gothenberg, Sweden in March 2016. Competitors include, Rich Fellers, FEI World Cup Finals Champion and Olympian; Margie Engle, Olympian and Pan American Team Silver Medalist; Richard Spooner, three time winner of the Monte Carlo Grand Prix and National Cup Gold Medalist; Will Simpson, Olympic Gold Medalist; Reed Kessler, National Cups Finals member and youngest Olympic competitor; and many more. International show jumpers include Matt Williams from Australia, Kevin Babington from Ireland and Eduardo Menezes from Brazil.
In addition to Saturday night’s event, the South Point Arena will host additional show jumping competitions with talented riders Wednesday, Nov. 11 through Friday, Nov. 13. Classes include the Winning Round Welcome class, the Markel Insurance Grand Prix Series Final and two FEI Speed Classics. With the exception of Saturday's special evening, admission is free.
