Blue Foundation Teams Up With United Way For 15th Annual Golf Tournament

The Blue Federal Credit Union Foundation, formerly the Warren FCU Foundation, will host the 15th annual United Way Golf Tournament on Friday, August 12th at the Warren Golf Course on F.E. Warren AFB. There will be two shotgun start times at 8:00 am and 1:00 pm, a raffle drawing for various prizes, and lunch will also be provided.

Community members can get involved in a few different ways - the Blue Foundation is looking for people to compete in the golf tournament, become a sponsor of the event, or donate a prize for the raffle drawing.

Proceeds of the tournament will be for the benefit of United Way of Laramie County. Over the past 15 years, the Blue Foundation has helped raise over $189,000 for United Way.

“We are honored that Blue Federal Credit Union has partnered with us for 15 years. They are a fabulous example of a committed community partner and exemplify the spirit of LIVE UNITED,” said Connie Sloan Cathcart, Executive Director of United Way of Laramie County.

United Way of Laramie County helps support many vital organizations in the community, such as the Boys and Girls Club of Cheyenne, the American Red Cross of Wyoming, and the Peak Wellness Center. The Blue Foundation is committed to their cause and to helping support the community.

“When you participate in the golf tournament either by playing golf, sponsoring the event and/or donating a raffle item, you are Living United and helping our 28,000 neighbors right here in Laramie County,” said Michele Bolkovatz, Community Relations Manager at Blue Federal Credit Union.

All participants who wish to compete in the United Way Golf Tournament should register by July 29th to get pre-approved for Base access. Players can register to play the day of the tournament, but will need to go to the Visitor Center on Base before the event.
