Zia Diner, a Santa Fe, NM, landmark and dining institution, served up jazz classics, gypsy jazz and bluegrass during the month of Aug. 2014. Trio Bijou, a string trio playing jazz classics played twice during Aug., gracing the stage on Aug. 7, and Aug. 21. Swing Soleil, a talented group of musicians including Zeke Severson, Alma Zazz, Patrick Longmire, Hilary Schacht, and Charlie Freeman, plays ‘jazz manouche, also known as gypsy jazz, made famous by famous French guitarist Django Reinhardt, played the Zia Diner twice as well during August, hitting the stage on Aug. 14, and Aug. 28. Lastly the ever popular Zia Diner Bluegrass Jam took place on Aug. 5, Aug. 12, Aug. 19, and Aug. 26.
