So what are the most requested treatments in the spa town of Glenwood Springs, Colorado? An informal telephone poll revealed that the following are the most booked according to spa owners and front desk staff.
Yampah Spa & Vapor Caves. Amy stressed that when booking any spa appointment, guests should think about what part of the body most needs attention. For example, if your skin is very dry, as it tends to be in Colorado, many clients opt for the Salt Glow Rub. For facials, the hands-down favorite is the Pure Focus Aveda Facial. As for massage, the 50-minute Full Body Massage is the most popular.
La Provence Spa. Steve, co-owner of this French-inspired spa said the most booked treatment is a package that bundles several services for nearly three hours of deep relaxation. The L’Ultime package begins with a Swedish massage and foot reflexology followed by the guest’s choice of either a salt or sugar scrub. Next up is a Mediterranean mud body wrap, with an herbal facial and steam shower to finish. Steve went on to say that his guests are so deeply relaxed after this treatment combo that they practically float out of the spa!
Splendor Mountain Spa. This spa features a custom built pool for Watsu water therapy treatments, but Susan, who is part owner of the spa, said that the most frequently booked treatment is the Couple’s Massage. Couples are any combination of two people: mothers and daughters, spouses, partners, or friends. Splendor Mountain offers couples side-by-side massage treatments in a relaxing and peaceful setting.
Spa of the Rockies. This award-winning spa located at the Glenwood Hot Springs has an extensive menu of treatments and services, but according to Alison, the tried and true Classic Swedish Massage is by far the most popular treatment. A close runner-up is the Kneipp Healing Massage. Both massages are offered in 60 or 90 minute increments.
