Actress/Comedienne LYDIA NICOLE Serves-Up Spicy Wit and Wisdom with “COMMON SENSE MAMITA”

LOS ANGELES (April 13, 2015) – Actress, Comedienne and self-appointed Common Sense Guru, LYDIA NICOLE, serves-up her spicy wit and irreverent wisdom in the wildly-successful Vlog, COMMON SENSE MAMITA.

Nicole first created and launched the streetwise ‘edutainment’ vlog online 18 months ago, which was instantly picked up by Latin Heat Entertainment ( Today, COMMON SENSE MAMITA has become a weekly fan-favorite, delivering Latinos a hilarious in-your-face dose of ‘tough-love’ honesty about all aspects of their life.

Nicole explains, “I couldn’t believe there were so many people in Hollywood with no common sense. So, after counseling so many friends on what to do, I realized that I could better serve the community by creating weekly vlogs on various common sense topics through laughter.”
Previously voted by Hispanic Magazine as one of the ‘Top 100 Latino Comics’, nothing is off-limits for Nicole who considers herself an optimist, storyteller and potty mouth. The rising comedienne caught the eye of Mitzi Shore, the legendary owner of The Comedy Store, who hand-picked Nicole to host a weekly Latino Comedy Night, a stint that lasted for 2-years. Later Nicole went on to participate and produce the critically acclaimed stand-up comedy shows “Funny Ladies of Comedy” and the all Latina “The Hot and Spicy Mamitas,” which performed before sold-out Latino audiences nationwide and recorded a hit comedy CD with Uproar Records.

Up next, Nicole will mount a full theatrical run of her highly-acclaimed autobiographical one-woman show, A ROSE GROWS IN SPANISH HARLEM. Transforming herself into 25 different characters, Nicole took inspiration for this dysfunctional yet triumphant coming-of-age story from her days growing up in New York’s Spanish Harlem.

Nicole’s acting career spans over 30 years, guest-starring in numerous television shows and films including the Oscar-nominated film “Stand and Deliver” starring Edward James Olmos.
