July 23, 2014 – Last week, Lenovo and The Onion, in partnership with global marketing and technology company DigitasLBi, were awarded silver at the inaugural CLIO Sports Awards for their original web series, Tough Season. This latest extension of the CLIO franchise honors breakthrough work in sports marketing and advertising globally; the campaign was honored in the Partnerships, Sponsorships & Endorsements category.
Launched in 2013, Tough Season told the story of Brad Blevins, a fantasy football coach who’s been striving to win first place in his office league for years. The series, which featured several real-life NFL players as guest stars, was so successful that it was renewed for a second season, launching later this year.
