Lander Art Center

Founded in 2003 by Lorre Hoffman

How does the Lander Art Center (LAC) serve Lander? LAC is a non-profit organization that seeks to engage the youth and adults of Lander in visual arts through education and exhibitions that will support a strong arts community. LAC contributes to the vibrant fiber of our community by offering accessible art and cultural events and varied creative classes and programs. LAC fosters artistic expression and dynamic partnerships that enrich community spirit and interconnectedness.

How will your Challenge for Charities donation to Lander Art Center make a difference in Lander this year? LAC is a membership-based organization that relies on the involvement and financial support of the community. LAC will use the Challenge for Charities funding to provide art education programs for both youth and adults, establish new exhibitions, support professional development for artists and continue community outreach. In the last year, the LAC served 550 students, successfully doubling adult professional offerings and expanding advanced youth classes and middle school workshops.

How else can you help the Lander Art Center? LAC offers multiple volunteer opportunities for varying interests. These include assisting with art classes, installation of exhibitions, administrative tasks, and poster hanging. LAC also solicits food donations for opening receptions.

What else? LAC offers all members of the Lander community a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the visual arts by providing a public gallery space with rotating exhibitions. You are welcome to the LAC as a member, exhibit guest, contributing artist, class student, or volunteer. LAC is proud to offer scholarships for each of their art class offerings.
