[New South Wales , May 6, 2014] – Kirana, one of Australia’s top registered training organisations, works with the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities to offer the Strategic Skills Program (SSP) for job seekers. Peoplelooking for a job or those looking to improve their skills can now enrol in this government-funded program through Kirana.
The NSW Strategic Skills Program
The Strategic Skills Program by the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities funds the training of qualified individuals from registered training organisations (RTOs) to address the strategic skill needs of certain industries, communities, and individuals. Certain training programs will be purchased by the NSW government via full and part-qualifications to support employment opportunities for jobseekers and improve the skills of existing members of the state’s workforce.
The primary purpose of the SSP is to support skills formation in areas that are crucial in the economic and social development of NSW and the businesses within the state. The program seeks to impart up-skilling workers with the skills and competencies relevant to their workplace, provide employment opportunities for those entering the workforce, and address the critical skills shortages in certain industries both in the state and regional level.
