COTTONWOOD, AZ– LaserLyte® showed support for their local and national law enforcement officers through a $10,000 Bronze sponsorship for a Law Enforcement Heroes statue to be erected at the Cottonwood, Arizona Police Department. The statue was unveiled during the 2014 Police Week activities which take place across the county. Statue funds are raised locally through businesses and private donations. The Law Enforcement Heroes statue represents all officers who have served the public and for those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
“Most family members of fallen officers cannot always travel across the country to Washington DC to participate in the Police Week activities,” said Chief Jody Fanning of the Cottonwood PD. “We hope our monument here in Cottonwood, which will represent all fallen officers, will give those family members a chance to reflect on the sacrifices made by their loved ones.”
The Cottonwood AZ PD statue depicts an Arizona officer holding a folded flag in respectful reflection while looking over the Cottonwood community. The lifelike statue also features a patented LaserLyte® laser rear sight on his duty pistol.
“It is our privilege to give back to our community and especially to the Cottonwood Police Department. They put their lives on the line every day for us and this is the least we can do to show our appreciation,” commented Aaron Moore, Vice President of LaserLyte®.
