After being honoured at the 2014 Arab Woman Award UAE last December, the Fatima Bint Mohamed Initiative is off to running start in 2015.
On December 8th at St. Regis Hotel in Abu Dhabi, FBMI received the Arab Woman's Humanitarian Award for its positive impact on Afghan society, in self-reliance for Afghan women, education and health for their family.
FBMI also started off the year with the opening a new boutique. With successful ventures already in Kabul, London and Dubai, FBMI opened its fourth location at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi on January 11th, 2015.
And FBMI is once again participating in the Carpet & Art Oasis at Festival City in Dubai this year as part of the city's 20th annual Dubai Shopping Festival. FBMI's stunning and socially-conscious selection of carpets will be located at the entrance of the venue.

FBMI will also be participating to Design Days Dubai 2015 in March.
Launched in 2010, FBMI is a unique enterprise that takes a comprehensive approach to development leveraging both private entrepreneurship and sustainable social services. It offers women employment in the weaving industry, while also providing them critical social services including training, healthcare and education.
FBMI is Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan humanitarian initiative.
The carpets produced through FBMI employs traditional crafting methods, operating strictly within Afghanistan. Wool from Afghan farmers, natural vegetables dyes and, of course, a local workforce (over 4,000 workers to date) are all pillars of the FBMI program.
The organization has four showrooms: in Kabul, London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Open to professionals as well as local consumers.
