(Scottsdale, Arizona) November 3, 2014 – Adding luster to the newly rebranded We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center is Jena Wott, the new manager of the AAA Four Diamond Award-winning hotel’s Amethyst Spa.
Wott brings extensive spa and salon experience to her new position. As general operations manager of Spa Fly, she was charged with recruiting, staffing, payroll, marketing, event planning and operational protocol. While at the Montelucia Resort & Spa as Journey Spa Coordinator, Wott was the top sales producer for seven months in a row and received the 2012 Productivity Award for leading a large retail project. Prior to coming on board at the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center, she was an intern at Stephens Green Hibernian Club in Dublin, Ireland, where she spearheaded special events and provided an exceptional guest experience to visiting dignitaries. Wott has been a sole proprietor of L’mage Studio in Gilbert, Arizona, since 2005.
The full-service Amethyst Spa offers a variety of spa and salon services that include massages, reflexology, facials, manicures and pedicures. In her new role, Wott will supervise eight to 10 staff members, and oversee the proper training, implementation and set-up of all spa front-of-house guest areas. Ongoing employee training, an emphasis on product inventory and quality control, and the strategic introduction of unique treatments and services will be critical components to delivering enhanced guest experiences.
“Now that our property has re-launched as an independent golf resort with a name very sacred to the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, our hotel amenities will increasingly reflect our Native American heritage and more closely align with other nearby Tribal enterprises,” said Craig Benell, acting general manager of the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center. “As part of her new role at the Amethyst Spa, Jena plans to incorporate more Yavapai elements into the spa and salon ambiance, treatments and products. We also anticipate more We-Ko-Pa Golf Club guests taking advantage of post-golf massages in the new outside spa courtyard that will be unveiled soon.”
“I’m ecstatic to have the opportunity to create and promote an industry that I’m passionate about,” added Wott. “As the name implies, the Amethyst Spa is truly a gem of a full-service spa and salon, and I’m looking forward to creating even more unique treatments and services that will pay tribute to our rich Yavapai legacy.”
