VPR's My Place & All The Traditions Now Available For Online Listening

Two of VPR's most beloved music programs, My Place and All The Traditions, are now available for online listening.

Each program can be heard for two weeks after its broadcast via the
VPR Replay stream using the Replay player, VPR Audio Player, mobile apps, or any online streaming player.

“We’re thrilled to be able to provide this new service to our music fans,” said Jonathan Butler, director of digital services. “We’ve heard from many listeners who wanted to hear My Place and All The Traditions, but were unable to catch the broadcasts when they aired on VPR. Now, listeners can hear the program when and how they want to listen.”

VPR Replay is an eight hour loop of programming containing the latest two episodes of My Place and All The Traditions. The full schedule and answers to commonly asked questions are at VPR.net.

“I love the new My Place stream. I have been working Saturday nights, so unfortunately, I have been missing my favorite radio program. I am now also able to listen multiple times if I choose,” said listener Jim Barry of Gilford, Nh.

“Thanks for making My Place available on streaming audio. Now I don't have to regret attending social events on Saturday evenings!” wrote Rick Cowan of Putney.

My Place is VPR’s rock and roll music and history program. Hosted by Joel Najman for more than 30 years, My Place weaves musicology, anthropology, sociology, and even psychology among the music of the '50s and '60s, creating a snapshot of life at that time. Joel Najman was inducted into the Vermont Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2004 and has been honored by the Vermont Legislature.

All The Traditions is VPR's folk and world music show. For more than 15 years, Host Robert Resnik has shared his love and deep knowledge of the music and showcases the many talented musicians who live in the VPR listening area.
