Our guest of honor is Palm Beach resident Heather Barber McMechan. A former personal shopper, fashionista and now stay-at-home mom, Heather founded local mom scoop in 2013 to fill a niche. She saw an opportunity to share local information for moms after living in South Florida for nearly 20 years and becoming a parent raising two amazing kids along with her husband.
Local Mom Scoop is a destination and lifestyle website for moms that shares the local scoop about events, fashion, beauty, kids, food, health and travel in South Florida.
WORD-OF-MOUTH is what it’s all about and that’s usually how moms share the scoop. Local Mom Scoop is here to promote your amazing product, service, special event or business.
Local Mom Scoop has worked with such brands as Ford Motor Company, Bloomingdale's, CVS pharmacy and more.
Here's a chance to meet Heather in person!
Try to make it on time; the sunset view at the venue is breathtaking from the top floor of a 27-story tower.

Heather McMechan is the COO–chief operating officer–of my family and a work-at-home mom. She has lived in Boca Raton, Florida and other surrounding South Florida areas for over 18 years. She also been a member of the Junior League Of Boca Raton for over 10 years and spent 2 years as the Parent Association President at her daughter’s school.
There was a pre-mommy life of high fashion and travel. She was a women’s apparel buyer for many years, which led her to become a personal shopper. Heather enjoyed working with her clients, making them look and feel special. Many of her clients and friends asked her for fashion advice, along with personal as well. She loved this aspect of her job.
Today she is a parent along with her husband raising 2 amazing kids, Heather saw this opportunity after moms began asking her for not only fashion advice, but other range of topics like: where to have a princess party, who colors your hair or where can I get a great birthday gift?
Much of the SCOOP she hshare comes from getting together with her fellow moms–married, single-parent, working, or stay-at-home–she realize we’re all searching for the same information about local fashion, food, events and other “mommy scoop” within Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and other South Florida areas. This is what inspired her to start “Local Mom Scoop.”
So, wearing her tummy hiding tee, skinny jeans, and her Tory Burch flip flops– Heather type away, sharing with you the LOCAL MOM SCOOP. For more info: LocalMomScoop.com Twitter.com/localmomscoop; Facebook.com/localmomscoop
