FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Richard Walker, Founder of EPIQ FILMS and Host of Bring The Pain Sports Signs Deal to Broadcast BTP Sports on Afrocentric Network Television (KANT 15.5 Houston)

Agreement puts BTP Sports programming into over 4.5 million homes in the Houston metropolitan serving area

(HOUSTON) The EPIQ FILMS-produced sports commentary and analysis show Bring The Pain Sports has found a new broadcast home, after signing a distribution agreement with Afrocentric Network Television (KANT 15.5 Houston) starting in mid-January, 2015.

The agreement provides programming time for BTP Sports on KANT each Sunday for two hours between noon and 2PM. The weekly series will begin with an inaugural broadcast on Sunday, January 18th, previewing the upcoming AFC and NFC NFL Championship games. This debut broadcast will be taped before a live studio audience at The Houston Media Source in Houston on January 17th.

BTP Sports is a production of EPIQ FILMS, and is hosted by former minor league football player and EPIQ FILMS founder and President Richard Walker. Walker leverages his insider knowledge of football and his technical knowledge of multi-media video production to make BTP Sports a fast-paced, engaging, and insightful look at professional and collegiate sports in the United States.

In addition to Walker, the BTP Sports panel consists of former athletes discussing the current events and history of major professional and college sports (NFL, NCAA, NBA, NHL, MLB, Boxing, Tennis, Golf, Olympics). The show offers a unique balance of experts in each of the specific sports as well as a strong interface with social media and fans. All panelists are credentialed media members who attend professional sporting events and provide an insider’s insight and analysis. The show differs from “traditional sports media” in that there are no attempts to make “politically correct statements” about performance. Guest panelists also have strong backgrounds in their profession. Panelists include correspondent Lemont Williams (former Washington Redskin and ESPN 3 analyst discusses football), Ricky Williams (former middleweight champion discusses boxing), Felipe Presas (former game day operations manager for the Houston Aeros discusses hockey), and Melvin Adams (former Harlem Globetrotter discusses NCAA and NBA basketball).

Afrocentric Network Television (KANT 15.5 Houston) is a digitally-broadcast television channel headquartered in Houston, Texas, featuring programming centered on the African-American and African immigrant communities. The channel reaches over 4.5 million households in the greater Houston metropolitan serving area.
