Dana Point, CA –JUNE 5, 2015 Summer brings Blue Whales, Fin Whales, Minkes and Humpback Whales plus other rare marine life traveling through Dana Point to be spotted by Dana Wharf Whale Watchers during daily tours off the warm coastal waters of Dana Point. The annual "Giant Blue Whale Migration" brings hundreds of blue whales each spring/summer to the waters off Dana Point. Over 700 blue whales were viewed last summer . Giant blue whales were once considered a rare sight off southern California, but over the last 10 years this has changed with hundreds/thousands of giant blue whales spotted each year.
