APEX Brain Centers, a brain intensive training program based around the concept of neuroplasticity, today announced new fall educational events in Asheville. All events are focused on “Building a Better Brain” and will be led by APEX Brain Centers founder Dr. Michael S. Trayford and/or Dr. David Hardy.
Dr. Trayford is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist with over fourteen years of experience in treating disorders of the human nervous system and helping individuals on their quest for peak brain performance. Neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to change and grow, is the focus of his studies, teachings, and clinical practice at APEX Brain Centers.
The fall schedule will include the following events:
Building a Better Brain workshop series
Where: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Duration: 8 weeks: Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Nov. 5
This contemporary brain health course will take the learner through the various stages of knowledge necessary for understanding how to better care for and improve brain function.
Starting with the foundations of “Brain Plasticity” and moving towards more involved topics such as “Blood Sugar and the Brain” and “Exercise and Brain Function,” the learner will be armed with a thorough understanding of the numerous influences of the environment on our brains. More practical topics such as “Top Ten Brain Health Tips” will allow the learner to leave with practical advice for “Building a Better Brain.”

Topics of discussion will include: Neuroplasticity – Yes, Your Brain Can Change, Food for Thought – Eating and Your Brain, Exercise and Brain Function, Top 10 Brain Health Tips, Memory and Cognition and more.
