Actor JIM KLOCK Takes on Keanu Reeves in “THE WHOLE TRUTH”

LOS ANGELES (August 12, 2014) – Actor JIM KLOCK (“Murder Eleven,” HBO’s “True Detectives”) will be arguing opposite Keanu Reeves in the courtroom drama THE WHOLE TRUTH, directed by Oscar nominated Courtney Hunt.

THE WHOLE TRUTH stars Keanu Reeves as Defense Attorney Richard Ramsay who is hired to represent a 17-year-old (Gabriel Basso) accused of murder. Klock steps into the courtroom to prosecute the rock solid case against the teen, who has not spoken since the crime. The film also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as a young lawyer assisting Ramsey, and Renee Zellweger and Jim Belushi as the young defendant’s parents.

Klock also just wrapped a role in the highly-anticipated action-comedy AMERICAN ULTRA, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart; and he can be seen in Sony Pictures upcoming sports drama, WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL, starring Jim Caviezel and releasing in theaters on August 22nd.

Additionally, Klock put his talents to work both appearing in and directing the indie crime-drama RIVER GUARD, starring Eric Ladin (“American Sniper,” “The Killing”) and J.D. Evermore (“Dallas Buyers Club,” “Rectify”), and Brett Cullen (“42,” “The Dark Knight Rises”). Klock also recently finished shooting the pilot for the reality-based TV show JUMP OUTS, which he hosted and co-created along with Thomas Bannister. The project is produced by Dailymotion and SXM productions.

Most recently, Klock gained attention for his role as Detective Ted Bertrand in HBO’s critically acclaimed show “True Detectives.” He has written, produced, and directed numerous independent films, including the award winning feature film "Murder Eleven”; and his acting credits include roles in “Justified,” “Treme,” “ER,” “Criminal Minds,” “Vegas” and many other fan-favorites.

Originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia, Klock has an extensive background in law enforcement with 15 years of experience as a decorated police officer, which includes working in Undercover Narcotics and as a Law Enforcement Instructor.
