Dale Gonzalez Appointed 2014-2015 President of Rim Country Rotary Club; Focused on Increasing Membership, Educating Community on Local Works

Pioneer Title Agency is pleased to announce its own Dale Gonzalez, Payson’s title manager, has been appointed the 2014-2015 President of the Rim Country Rotary Club, effectively July 1, 2014. In his role, Gonzalez, who has been involved with the local rotary for more than a decade, will be responsible for the naming of officers and new members of the board as well as focusing on the promotional and growth of the five key areas within the organization:

  • Club Service, which focuses on making clubs strong. A thriving club is anchored by strong relationships and an active membership development plan.
  • Vocational Service, which calls on every Rotarian to work with integrity and contribute their expertise to the problems and needs of society.
  • Community Service, which encourages every Rotarian to find ways to improve the quality of life for people in their communities and to serve the public interest.
  • International Service, which exemplifies the rotary’s global reach in promoting peace and understanding.
  • Youth Service, which recognizes the importance of empowering youth and young professionals through leadership development programs such as RotaractInteractRotary Youth Leadership Awards, and Rotary Youth Exchange.

“During my term as president, it is of critical importance to me to educate members of Gila County and beyond – especially younger members of our community – about what the rotary truly is and how many good works we do each day right here in our own backyard,” says Gonzalez. “Historically, we have been known as an organization focused on helping people outside of the United States, but in truth, our local rotary devotes the majority of its time raising funds to both provide scholarships to area youth as well as assistance and recognition programs for our first responders involved in the police, fire and ambulatory fields.

Gonzalez notes that in recent years, rotary membership has trended downward across the United States, but believes by reaching out directly to the members of the local community, this Chapter and those in surrounding areas can grow exponentially in coming years to among the strongest in the state, and beyond.

In addition to serving in his role as president of the Rim Country Rotary Club, Gonzalez has been a member of Pioneer Title Agency in Payson since 1996. And for Gonzalez, Pioneer is a family affair – all three of his sons also work for the family owned business in various branches across Arizona.

Founded in 1985, Pioneer Title Agency has operated under the philosophy of ‘Commitment to Service’ since its inception, which extends the commitment to service within each of the company’s local communities.

“Under our ‘Pioneer Title Agency in Action’ community relations umbrella, we are empowered to take an active role in the communities where we live and work, as I have done with the rotary,” says Gonzalez.

In fact, Gonzalez is so committed both the Pioneer Title Agency in Action and Rotarian philosophies that he shares the famous “Four-Way Test” with each of his employees upon his or her hiring at the branch.

“From the earliest days of the organization, Rotarians were concerned with promoting high ethical standards in their professional lives. One of the world's most widely printed and quoted statements of business ethics is The Four-Way Test, which was created in 1932 by Rotarian leader Herbert J. Taylor,” says Gonzalez.

Officially adopted by rotary in 1943 – and by Gonzalez over the past two decades – the Four-Way Test has been translated into more than a hundred languages and published in thousands of ways. It asks the following four questions of the things we think, say or do:

  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

“If your team can answer ‘yes’ to all of these questions during the course of the work day, success will follow,” says Gonzalez.
