9th May 2014, Washington, DC, US: Fathers 4 Justice has announced its 7th Annual Fatherless Day Rally, which will be held on Friday, 13th June 2014.
All 50 United States Capitols and many other countries come together to host the 7th Annual International Fatherless Day Rallies as it gives people from different fields an opportunity to voice their concerns about children’s parental rights. Family law reform will be on the minds of fathers, mothers, grandparents and children who will get together for the rallies in State Capitols from 12 to 5 pm on the designated day.
Millions of children have suffered because of the rulings by Family Courts that tend to cut out one parent from a child’s life; usually the father. It can have a huge impact on children’s lives and fatherless homes account for 63% youth suicides, according to United States Department of Health and Human Services statistics. There are many other reports that suggest there’s an adverse affect on children in fatherless homes.
The fact of the matter is that children need both their able and willing parents to share equally in their lives. That’s the message that 7th Annual Fatherless Day Rally will be taking across to people and also the judiciary. One of the aims of the organizations is to ensure equal shared parenting for both the able and willing parents as a default in all matters of divorce and separation. And it’s this cause that has won Fathers 4 Justice, support from several organizations all over the world.
