Local Cosmetics Company Marks 10 Year Anniversary with Beauty Over Brunch Event While Giving Back to Help Fund Parkinson’s Disease Research & Patients Needs
HOUSTON, Texas – On September 26, Komplexx Blends Cosmetics will celebrate its 10 year anniversary with its Beauty Over Brunch event, benefitting the Parkinson Disease Research & patients /care givers needs . The event will include makeup demos, makeovers and panel discussion led by celebrity makeup artists.
“I have always been passionate about helping women feel beautiful and giving back to the community,” said Karian Durham, founder. “Komplexx Blends is the manifestation of my passion and purpose, and I’m thrilled to celebrate this incredible milestone.”
A veteran makeup artist, Durham launched Komplexx Blends Cosmetics in 2005 after observing the lack of options for women of color. A portion of the company’s proceeds is donated annually to Parkinson Disease research & patient/care givers needs in honor of Durham’s grandmother to help discover a cure for the disease.
Beauty Over Brunch will begin at noon at Hotel Derek. Confirmed panelists include: David Stephens, celebrity makeup artist to “Basketball Wives” star Tami Roman; Bridgette Cormier Reese, celebrity makeup artist to “Love and Hip Hop” star Jhonni Blaze; and Priscilla Alexis, makeup artist known for her editorial style and runway work. Special VIP guest Donni Styles, celebrity hairstylist to “Celebrity Moms ATL” stars Momma K. Camp and Mama Rasheeda Frost.
