Miami dental practice recognizes the achievements of Women in Dentistry during Women's History Month
Midtown Dental Miami is saluting Great Women in Dentistry during the month of March, Women's History Month. All month long the Miami Dental Practice will honor important pioneers in dentistry. During a special promotion, CEO Dr. John Nelson, is offering a free dental cleaning to the first new patient to make an appointment and share the details of shared women's history facts that are posted on Midtown Dental Miami's Facebook Page.
Among the historical dental trailblazers Midtown Dental will salute during the month of March include Lucy Hobbs Taylor (March 14, 1833 – October 3, 1910. She was the first American woman to graduate from dental school (Ohio College of Dental Surgery in 1866) and Bessica Medlar Raiche, a dentist, businesswoman, and physician, who was the first woman in the United States accredited with flying solo in an airplane. Her accomplishment is impressive because she had received no flight instruction or experience prior to her flight.
