Madison, WI (March 27, 2014) – The Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA) is set to launch their interactive app for the 20th Annual Symposium and Pharmacology Preconference, taking place in Atlanta, GA from April 9 – 12, 2014. The app will allow attendees to view complete event schedules, get information on all offered sessions, details on presenters, take surveys, network and connect to social media sites.
The app, called PCNA Events, is brand new this year, and will enhance communication and networking among attendees and offer opportunities for interaction with exhibitors. Not only can users view complete schedules and speaker lists, but they will also be able to see which sessions are the most popular according to their fellow attendees. The app will also allow users to receive up-to-date information and event details as they come out.
“The app will be a great way for attendees and event staff to connect and network,” says Joe Searls, Public Relations & Marketing Manager. “With this new app, we expect to increase the interactions and networking among members of our community and offer exhibitors exciting new ways to reach attendees at the annual symposium and other events, like our Fall Lecture Series.”
The app will help attendees stay on top of timely keynotes from world-renowned speakers covering topics from the new cholesterol guidelines, to cardiovascular risk reduction in African-American patients. The symposium’s highly-regarded speakers include; Dr. Valentin Fuster, Dr. Nanette K. Wenger, Dr. Keith Ferdinand, and Dr. Daniel Forman, and more. Attendees can also look forward to moderated research poster sessions, an exhibit hall, lobbying and advocacy initiatives and networking opportunities.
The PCNA Events app is free and available for download through the Apple App Store and Android Marketplace. The app was created by San Francisco and Amsterdam-based Company, DoubleDutch, which has created apps for companies such as; American Express, Nationwide, Novartis and Reebok.
