Notes: Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series will run the same tire set-up at Fontana this week . . . while this is the first time these teams have run this left-side tire code (D-4636), they have run this right-side code (D-4408) at this track since 2011 . . . compared to what was run at Fontana last year, this left-side tire features a slight construction change, and a compound change to enhance grip . . . Goodyear held a tire test at Fontana last October 28-29 . . . teams and drivers participating in that test were the No. 6 Roush Fenway Ford with Trevor Bayne, No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet with Kyle Larson, No. 55 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota with Brian Vickers and No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet with Martin Truex Jr. . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Fontana . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
