FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Jan. 13, 2014
LAS VEGAS – Comme Ça by David Myers at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas captures a new tradition this Valentine’s Day, inspired by the memories of Julia Child and her husband Paul’s love of the holiday and their quirky celebrations while living in France. From hearty Coq au Vin to a light and airy Paris-Brest, the three-course $59 prix fixe menu recreates classics from the Julia’s kitchen—a postcard to the past, in the form of a vibrant candle-lit dinner affair.
The three-course “Sweethearts Dinner” menu will feature the adventurous and tasteful Comme Ça flair that has become the signature of Chef David Myers’ and Executive Chef Brian Howard’s influential cuisine. The Childs demonstrated true love and playfulness on a daily basis, and Myers and Howard used this powerful relationship as the foundation for creating the exclusive menu of enticing romantic dishes, available during dinner service on Friday, Feb. 14.
Comme Ça’s Sweethearts Dinner menu will include:
- First Course: Rolled Omelet with osetra caviar, crème fraiche and chives (this choice is an additional $15) or Country-Style Pate “en Croute” with Dijon mustard, Mache salad and pickles or Soup au Pistou with lobster vol en vent.
- Second Course: “Coq au Vin” Braised Farm Chicken with red wine and pomme purée or Lobster Thermidor with cognac cream and glazed English peas and carrots or Pan-Broiled Steak with a black pepper crust and red wine sauce.
- Third Course: Gateaux Paris-Brest with toasted almond and praline crème or Chocolate Soufflé with vanilla raspberry anglaise.
In addition to the inspired cuisine, guests can expect to be immersed
in romantic ambiance as Comme Ça illuminates the dining room via candle light to
enhance the dining experience. Cut-out paper hearts will be on display
throughout the restaurant to pay homage to the Childs, who would often wear the
oversized paper hearts as a symbol of their love each Valentine’s Day.
The special Valentine’s Day menu will be offered in addition to the a la carte menu from 5 to 10 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling Comme Ça at 702.698.7910 or visiting the restaurant online.
