FINAL HIGHLANDS SKIMO RACE AND EXTENDED LIFT HOURS AT ASPEN HIGHLANDS ON TUESDAY, MARCH 25

Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., March 21, 2014 – The Aspen Highlands SkiMo Race Series with Aspen Expeditions, a shortened ski-mountaineering race with both uphill and downhill components, will wrap up on Tuesday, March 25. The course designer, Brian Johnson, promises a course that will be both fun and challenging for beginners and experts and this will be the first race in the series to take place on the upper mountain.

In addition to the sixth and final skimo race, Aspen Highlands will be open for a great afternoon of sun and spring skiing with extended lift hours. The Exhibition lift will spin until 6 p.m. The race will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will start and finish at the Merry Go Round restaurant. The Merry Go Round will also be host to a party.

Registration is now open at www.aspensnowmass.com/highlandsskimo. Register online or before each race at Aspen Expeditions beginning at 4:30 p.m. All participating athletes must check-in at Aspen Expeditions before each race to pick-up bib and course details. Registration is $15 and all racers are required to wear a helmet.
