LOS ANGELES (June 23, 2014) – Irish/Australian actor GLENN KEOGH hits the big screen with a bang this summer in Michael Bay’s new action/sci-fi film, TRANSORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, releasing nationwide from Paramount Pictures on June 27, 2014.
The latest installment in the global blockbuster franchise, TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, stars Mark Wahlberg as an automobile mechanic, who along with his daughter, makes a discovery that brings down the Autobots and Decepticons, and a paranoid government official, on them. Keogh joins in the new fight, after an epic battle that left a great city torn, but with the world saved.
Keogh was excited to join such a beloved film franchise, adding “I was thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to be part of this amazing juggernaut, with such an incredible array of talent, led by the genius that is Michael Bay.”
Later this summer, Keogh jumps to the small screen for Showtime’s mega-hit drama series, RAY DONOVAN. The new sophomore season kicks off on July 13th and picks up with Ray Donovan (Lief Schreiber) dealing with the latest fallout over his actions, his father Mickey (Jon Voight) and the perils of balancing a home life with a career as a fixer for Hollywood’s most powerful elite. And, Keogh also steps in for a recurring role on NBC’s long-running daytime drama, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, beginning this August.
This fall, Keogh is set to appear in the all-new CBS drama series, SCORPION. Inspired by a true story, genius Walter O’Brien (Elyes Gabel) recruits other geniuses to help solve complex problems of the world. Keogh emerges as Walter’s Dad, joining the all-star cast including Robert Patrick, Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Ari Stidham, Jadyn Wong and Ernie Hudson.
Originally from the suburb of Blackrock in Dublin, Ireland, this acting powerhouse has built a solid resume since arriving in Hollywood by way of Australia. After receiving his Accounting degree from Griffith College Dublin and experiencing a career-ending soccer injury, Keogh packed up and headed for Australia. It was while working in the Corporate IT Industry in Brisbane, that he began honing his talents as an actor, earning a nomination for a Queensland Best Actor Award.
Today, Keogh has worked on 3 continents and in dozens of film and television projects. His American credits include prominent roles in: SONS OF ANARCHY, CRIMINAL MINDS, CASTLE, GENERAL HOSPITAL and UNDERCOVERS among others.
Keogh is also passionate about helping others, volunteering with the non-profit organization H.E.R.O. - Housing, Education and Rehabilitation of Orphans (www.HaitiHero.org), which offers hope for the over 300,000 orphans in Haiti. Keogh helped significantly to raise the funds necessary to build an orphanage with plans to assist in raising awareness and funding for several more in the near future.
