Last Chance to See Butterflies and Dinosaurs at Night at Powell Gardens, Kansas City's Botanical Garden

Experience Powell Gardens after hours during the final Family Night of the season! An Evening with the Butterflies takes place from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016. Guests will have access to the 20th Annual Festival of Butterflies—including an exclusive, guided experience in the tropical butterfly conservatory and the Monarch Watch Science Center—and the Jurassic Garden dinosaur sculpture exhibit. 

The evening includes special activities just for kids: Ms. Frizzle (presented by Dawnna Morris, the Fancy Storyteller) will read stories from 7-8 p.m. and there's a make-and-take butterfly feeder craft. Each ticket also includes trolley service and a serving of Tadley's Homemade Ice Cream!

  • Adults: $15 or $10/member
  • Children 5-12: $7 or $5/member 
  • Children 4 and younger: free
