[Healdsburg, CA, January 17, 2014]—Gracianna Winery in Healdsburg has received five medals from the 2014 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, contending with over 5,500 entries in the largest competition of American wines in the world. Gracianna was awarded a double gold for the 2011 Gracianna Bacigalupi Pinot Noir, a gold for the 2010 Gracianna Bacigalupi Pinot Noir, silver medals for both the 2011 Gracianna Suzanne's Blend Chardonnay and the 2010 Gracianna Bacigalupi Zinfandel and a bronze for the 2011 Gracianna Bacigalupi Zinfandel. The gold medal winning wines will be showcased at the 2014 Public Wine Tasting at Fort Mason Center on Saturday, February 15, 2014.
“This year’s competition was the largest entering in the history of the event, and we are honored to take home these prestigious awards. It’s humbling to note that we’ve medaled in every single San Francisco Chronicle competition since first entering five years ago with our 2007 Pinot.” commented Lisa Amador, a founding partner of Gracianna Winery. “These medals come at a very exciting time for our winery as we have plans to release a limited edition Estate Pinot Noir in April and we are completing construction on our family estate villa, which has been in the works for over 17 years.”
