Actor/Creator ANDY GOLDENBERG Unveils “SUPERGUY AND FRIENDS” on October 21, 2015 as Part of Stan Lee’s ‘World of Superheroes’ Initiative with YouTube Spaces

ALSO INVITED TO SCREEN AND APPEAR AT STAN LEE'S 2015 COMIKAZE EXPO

LOS ANGELES (October 21, 2015) – Actor/creator ANDY GOLDENBERG unveils his new superhero comedy series, SUPERGUY AND FRIENDS, on YouTube (http://youtube.com/goldentusk) beginning October 21st. The single-camera TV project was created in conjunction with Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment and YouTube Spaces “World of Superheroes” initiative. Goldenberg has also been invited to screen SUPERGUY AND FRIENDS and participate on a panel at Lee’s 2015 COMIKAZE EXPO in Los Angeles on October 31st.

SUPERGUY AND FRIENDS kicks-off as Superguy’s super ex-girlfriend comes back into his life, and his super normal friends have to help him cope. The project was directed by Brandon Ravet (IAWTV Nominated) and stars Anton Narinskiy (Pitch Perfect 2, Days of Our Lives) as ‘Superguy’ along with YouTube and Vine superstars Eric Dunn as the not-so-super nemesis ‘Scary Man’ and Lauren Francesca as our heroes ‘ex-girlfriend’, with Goldenberg as the trouble-making best friend ‘Barry’.

With less than a week to create the concept and pitch, Goldenberg wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass him by. Goldenberg explains, “I’ve been a huge fan of comic books and superheroes since a bully named Julian forced me to buy his Heroes for Hire comic in middle school band class. I’ve always wondered, though, about the normal friends that superheroes must have and the mundane lives they lead when they’re not saving the world.”

Goldenberg’s Goldentusk YouTube Channel (http://youtube.com/goldentusk) has more than 52 million views, with Time Out New York film critic Keith Uhlich nicknaming him ‘The Theme Song Sondheim’. Goldenberg first gained millions of fans for his wildly-popular parody videos that deliver original lyrics to some of the most iconic film theme songs, including the hit “Back to the Future Theme Song.” He performed alongside Adam Sandler as his green screen scene partner in Jack & Jill, was a cover boy of the Nice Jewish Guys Calendar, won a game show, published a children’s book called “Peter, the Paranoid Pumpkin,” and has been featured in several commercials and TV shows. Before all of this success, Goldenberg was born in Rhode Island, grew up in Florida and earned a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Miami.
